After Cancer Surgery - Now What?

Alkaline Ph

Today I am focusing on getting my body back to an alkaline Ph level. I have read books on the advantage of an alkaline based body so should have known better than to have continued to eat red meat. It is one of the highest foods in the acidic range. So, now I  am choosing to eliminate red meat and limit any other animal flesh. I have been vegetarian for a five year period back in the early 90's. I don't remember much about it other than it was a struggle getting started and trying to figure out how to plan family meals. Once I got the hang of it it was much easier.
Now, I have a very strong reason to get back to a meatless diet and feel certain that I will continue to remain mostly plant based in my choices of food. This is pretty simple even if not always easy. So, the question remains, what about other animal products like eggs and dairy. Dairy, I have a definite opinion on which I will write on next but eggs, I don't have an opinion yet.
So today, I venture on a mostly meatless diet. I say mostly because I don't want to rule out the occasional meal where I don't have a choice or simply want to indulge. It will still be a rare event as I keep my eye on the goal of an alkaline Ph state.

Welcome

Welcome to my blog. Please check back soon for new entries.
The journey begins.

I am starting this blog as I launch a campaign to be smarter and kinder to my body. The new awakening began after I learned I had uterine cancer in 10/10. After a complete hysterectomy I was told that the cancer was stage 1A and that the surgeon got it all. However, I was referred to a radiologist who recommended both radiation and chemo as a precaution against any micro-cells. The biggest reason was that the type of cancer that I had was an aggressive form.

Initially, I was inclined to proceed with the process but after I left her office I got the gut feeling stronger and stronger not to do it. I did keep my appointment with the hematologist to hear her point of view which matched the radiologist. Back to my oncologist for the six week follow-up and she backed up the other two.

I have felt stronger and stronger that it is smarter to nurture my body rather than attack it by burning and using chemicals that are toxic. Please understand that I am taking this position because I believe that I no longer have any tumors. So now I am beginning an alternative program to get my body healthier and keep it that way.

The first thing that I have done starting New Years weekend was to begin a yeast detox.
Some time ago I received an e-mail about cancer cells and what they are made of. This e-mail stated that when a cancer cell is cut open it is white. It is all yeast. So the first thing that I want out of my body is any yeast.
The detox program that I am following is one that can be purchased in a health food store. It is a two part program with one being a liquid and the other being a capsule. I simply follow the directions on the box. It costs about $30.

To follow up with the yeast detox I plan to limit any yeast products such as bread and pastries.

I will write more on other things such as diet, exercise and spiritual practices.

For now I am writing this blog to keep myself commited and accountable even if no one responds. But if you have an interest in this topic or know someone who is dealing with well-being I would love to hear from you.
Hears to well being,
Carolyn
